Apparently I'm an Endangered Species

I set up this blog a while ago, haven't touched it since - didn't think I had much to say at the time, so I thought I'd wait for the opportune moment. Why did I set it up in the first place? Not sure really. I'm just your standard guy that happens to think about pretty much everything. I'll get to all those things as time goes by.
I'm not planning on writing by schedule. I don't want to have to concoct issues to talk about and then land up spewing trash as a result.

It seems strange to me to be starting this blog with the above title - but as I said, the opportune moment arrived, so here goes...

I was greeted this morning by a friend who gave me the title 'my only God believing friend' and carried on to point out that I was indeed an endangered species.

Endangered species? Wow. I mean I've always know that I was by far not a member of a popular majority - but I had no idea that I was part of a population that was apparently diminishing into historical nothingness! Talk about a wake up call!

But I wonder if this is really true. Does everyone think that us 'believers' are human dodos? Are we one day in the near future going to be an exhibit at the local museum?

I'm not so sure.

Now, at this point, one would expect the writer to bring studies and statistics to prove his or her point. But I choose not to swim in that barely transparent pool of confusion. I mean really, would it make the slightest bit of difference? As Bertrand Russel said - sometimes the question is far greater than any possible solution.

It's worth a thought, isn't it?
